About Debra Valencia
Debra Valencia wears many hats as creative director, designer, licensor, educator, speaker and author. A visionary surface pattern artist, graphic designer and entrepreneur with a passion for world travel, artisan traditions, pop art and fashion trends, has branded a California style uniquely her own. Her colorful chic products are found in the lifestyle and home décor markets, appealing to people who love bold style.
Debra has worked with over 100 manufacturers in gift, stationery, craft, textiles, home décor, fashion, personal accessories and bath/beauty segments. She creates custom designs working with trend forecasts, as well as licenses art from her extensive surface design portfolio. As a white label designer, she develops products for brands working with their IP and style guides.
Debra is the author of a dozen craft books on sewing, embroidery, cross stitch, coloring, and other crafts. She has lectured at national design conferences, universities and professional groups. As an educator, she teaches courses on design and business practices at multiple colleges. Debra graduated with a BFA with Honors, Dean’s List, and Faculty Award for Most Outstanding Student from the University of Arts in Philadelphia.
